Shine

G
There’s a challenge to be met,

A
C
problem isn’t
D
quite solved yet

Someone
G
made a start, someone else will get it
C
Still it’s hard for
D
some to admit it

But
G
it’s right there for all to see

The
C
sun will give us
D
what we need…

G
Shine, shine, shine, shine
C
shine,
D
Winter, summer,
G
spring, and fall

Shine, shine, shine, shine,

shine

Energy for
G
one and all

For the longest time we didn’t know

The ways we made our country grow
It was eating up the atmosphere
Now we know it’s very clear
Another way must come to pass
If we want this world to last

Shine….

When someone says it can’t be done

There’s not enough power in the sun
That only means that they don’t know how
But someone in a school desk now
Will make it work and make it cheap
So people of the world can keep the lights on (and on and on…)

Shine, shine, shine, shine shine…

There are pleasures that money brings

But sometimes people will do anything
To get as much of it as they can
And when these people control the land
Solutions can be hard to see
But the sun’s right up there and it’s free…

Shine, shine, shine, shine shines…..

There is hope and there is love

There is sunlight up above
We could get lost in complications
But with some imagination
Another kind of world could be
All I know is I can see it…

Shine, shine, shine, shine shine…
